Hailong Jiao received the Bachelor degree in Electronic Information Science and Technology from Shandong University, Shandong, China, in 2004 with the highest honor. He got the Master degree in Microelectronics and Solid-State Electronics from the Institute of Microelectronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 2008. After that, he got the Ph. D. degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong, China, in 2012.

He served as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Electronic Systems group with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), Eindhoven, The Netherlands from September 2013 to January 2017. He was with IMEC, Leuven, Belgium as a part-time Visiting Researcher from February 2015 to January 2017. He has been an Associate Professor in the School of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Shenzhen Graduate School, Peking University since January 2017. He is also Visiting Assistant Professor with the Electronic Systems group of TU/e.

Dr. Jiao’s research area is low-power and variations-resilient VLSI circuit and system design. He has interests in ultra-low voltage circuits, low-power robust memory circuits, in-memory computing, error-resilient system, and machine learning in VLSI. He also has interests in emerging devices and circuit techniques, such as 3D integration, carbon electronics, and flexible electronics. Furthermore, he is enthusiastic about ultra-low-power circuits and systems for bio-signal processing, especially brainwave signals for epileptic seizure detection and brain-machine interface.
